Hello Monday...

Good Morning All
I am actually looking forward to this week!

We welcome December tomorrow and it promises (fingers crossed) to be a great month of preparing and fun leading up to Christmas
I STILL have not done nearly enough for anything I need, so I may end up buying a box of cards
Scrub that I may just give none instead - eeeeeeeeeeeek

I was asked for a New Baby Card
and there was only one card design for it and one image

I used Sandra's Bow card template and papers from Sara's Floral Delights range - you will find it over in the Crafter's Companion Shop :) along with the dies - which are from the Downton Abbey range and the Die'sire Leaf Swirl set. All sentiments I printed from the comp, I used a little acetate to pop it up from the card. I used Spec Noir Markers on this sweetie, all embellies from my stash.

Spec Noir Markers Used

Black Glitter...On a New Baby Card...

Well when my design called for black glitter I was absolutely mortified!
They most deffo shouldn't be anywhere near each other - except this is no ordinary New Baby card - My brief was A New Baby Boy , A Bow Card and Basketball
That was it - so my mind ran away with me - eeeeek
Here is what I came up with
and do you know what I was so giddy - I absolutely LOVED making this card and was chuffed to nuts with the finished result! The man who is giving it was chuffed to bits with it too - he is taking it back to his home country this weekend so I hope they really like it too.

I used this super duper cute image from Mo Manning and coloured it up with Spectrum Noir markers, I mounted him onto the bow card with 3d glue gel, the orange cardstock is coredinations which I used the small dots embossing folder from embossilious, the blue dotty paper is from Saras's range over at Crafter's Companion :) Love those ranges, the sentiment and name computer generated, and the ball and net are diecuts, the little net I made a strip of card and added netting to, then curved it to stick onto the card. The bow template is of course from Sandra.

Sleep in Saturday...

This week I really feel like I need it, I'm young in the grand scheme of life, but I feel like I am getting older with my sleep pattern, I am always exhausted! Early nights and Early starts OH MY GOSH!!! Still I shouldn't complain I wake up to a beautiful family every morning, maybe its just the darkness that this time of year brings - its my fave time of year too in the run up to Christmas

Its deffo an "S" Day - Soccer Saturday with me Jeff Stelling, and Strictly loving Strictly it really is my fave! I don't have a definite favourite yet but I do like Jay and Aliona and I do like Anita and Gleb :) Who is your faves?

Today I have a flip card to share from the gorgeous Kimono Range
Another paper pad collection that is stunning!
You can find it in the Crafter's Companion Shop
I should really use this stamp more often because she is Booooootiful! The sentiment is also from the stamp sets. The papers of course from the pad and the dies are also from the Kimono range -  The blossom branch die has to be my most used die this year - I use it for absolutely everything! The glitter on these papers is pretty amazing! I coloured her up with Aquamarkers :)

Festive Friday...

Festive Friday :)
Whoop Whoop Whoop
I am so far behind in coming forwards with my festive makes its unreal!

Today I have an accordion card to share using some of the gorgeous Elfs and Fairies Perfect Partners from Sheena Douglass
I have said it before but I'll say it again
I love these!!!!!!!!!!!

I cut my accordion blanks and embossed them using one of the Nordic Christmas folders from Crafter's Companion, the centre I cut away on one and used some twine to attach my fairy - do excuse the blob of glue on the back of her wings which I cut using acetate. I used a little gliding wax over the embossed panels and added some kraft card to the edges. The ivy is also from Sheena's Range and this is one of my fave dies ever! I cut it on white card and then covered it with distress ink, then I stamped onto it using the perfect partner stamp and then coated it with a layer of Mod Podge love it - I shaped them using a ball tool.

I coloured all images with Aquamarkers and had a blast!
I cut another panel out and removed the middle and the edges so I could cover over the back to hide the twine ends.
How cheeky does he look! I just think these are such fun :)

Aquamarkers Used
Skin - Blossom, Peach, topaz, desert
Hair - Sepia, Chocolate, Terracotta
scarlet, burgundy, moss, bud green, gold, marigold

You can check out all things Sheena over in the Crafter's Companion Shop

Pray for Paris...

Hello Again

Betty from Simply B stamps has drawn the most beautiful image for us as a freebie to remember the people involved in the tragic events that unfolded in Paris last week
129 lost their lives and many more injured
My heartfelt condolences go to everyone who has been affected, it truely makes for a terrifying world to live in and raise children in.
May all those who lost their lives - Rest in Peace
and may all of us remember them - everytime I look at this card I know I will remember that awful night
Thankyou Betty - you can check out the Simply B Stamps Facebook page for info about the image

We will remember

Floral Thursday...

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all doing ok :)

Can you believe it!!! - NEXT WEEK I can put my Tree up! Hubby rolled his eyes at me! But the kiddies are super excited - I must admit I am too - I'm like a big kid building their excitement - I think having kids at Christmas is the most amazing Blessing you can ever have - I am really looking forward to some quality family time :) Father Christmas always brings a family present so we all have a game to play together - this year one of his Elves whispered in my ear and told me its going to be Pie Face - that new game that has launched - I keep smiling to myself when I think of it and hearing the kids laughter especially if mummy and daddy get splated! it looks like so much fun! I must must must remember to buy whipped cream lol

Today I have another card to share with you from Sara Davies Floral Delights Signature Range
You can see all things Crafter's Companion in the SHOP HERE
I am so into this paper pad right now it is unbelievable!
For the sentiment I used one of the stamps onto the patterned paper. I embossed another sheet of the paper with the Floral swirls folder and build my layers with cardstock and papers - I used both the 6 x 6 and 12 x 12 pads. The little flourish is one of the new dies, and the bow from my stash, I used some 3d glue gel to give this dimension. On the 12 x 12 paper I cut away one of the floral designs and built up the layers - I love how this looks.

Do check out the Floral Delights range it is gorgeousness!

Tired Tuesday...

Oh my gosh Tuesday
I wish it was nice to see you but I am feeling shattered today - hubby said "love are you getting up?" I said "No - not today!" hahaha - When he says that I know I need to jump up else I'll fall right back off to sleep and be late for the kiddies - so up I jumped - ugh lol

Lots and lots to do today so I am trying or going to do my best to ignore the interweb! TRY

I have another meeting tonight at Syds school this time about revision - LOL - I don't think Syds wants me to go deep down and learn about the most effective way to revise as she knows I'll be on her case then LOL

Syds needed a card for her friend at school, I coloured up 3 different images and she picked this one :) I hope her little friend likes it, I say little she'll be 15 - I have been trying clean and simple (AGAIN) I struggle with it so much but practise lol
This image is from Mo Manning love it!
I coloured her up with spec noir markers and mounted her using 3d glue gel - I pierced the edges using a ruler - not sure where I go wrong considering I use a hard plastic ruler but I can't work straight with those things! A little coredinations and the letters are from Die'sire 1 inch Contempoary Alphabet.

Hello Everyone
Hope you are all well :)

Its been a busy few days here - this week I'll be getting my head down, its suddenly dawned on me that Christmas really is right around the corner and I am miles behind - in the grand scheme of life and recent events this doesn't mean too much really - but it gives me focus away from the frightening world we live in - Sending my heartfelt wishes to everyone affected x x x

I made this card for my Hubbies boss who needed a thankyou card, again using the fabulous Bow template from Sandra - Get it here and the gorgeousness that is Bebunni
This one is from the floral collection - absolutely beautiful :) You will find all things Bebunni in the Crafter's Companion Shop HERE
I do adore this template so much - it matches any papers you have and it matches any colour scheme it is deffo my go to at the moment for special cards. The papers on this are a mix from Sara's Signature range. The sentiment is computer generated. The diecut swirls are from Die'sire, some wildflower dies from the Spring/Summer collection, and the half doily from the Downton Abbey collection, the cardstock is ivory centura pearl and I used Spectrum Noirs and a touch of Sparkle Pen to colour the BeBunni.

Spectrum Noirs Used

Happy Thursday - at least I hope it is!
I have a heap of work to get through today OMGOSH - A HEAP!
last minute . com is totally my middle name this year - It will get better won't it lol - YES
Only if I pull me finger out

My Bella Boo has her first School Disco tomorrow night - I brought her a gorgeous sparkly, frilly black dress and matching glittery shoes with a heel - it did look ever so pretty, but Ella wasn't sure on the black, so we took her back and she picked a silver and aqua number - pretty sequins, sparkly and it looks so so pretty, more so than the black - she looks like a Princess, I will share a pic Saturday!

Todays card uses some more of that gorgeous Kimono Paper pad
You should be able to find it in the Crafter's Companion Shop
I embossed the paper with one of the Kimono embossing folders and then rubbed over it with a black inkpad, I loved the effect it gave because of the glitter. I matted and layered it with white and black card, and then I used the same paper but untouched to matt that onto, the sentiment is from the stamps and the Butterfly is one of the dies.

Such such a pretty pad

We WILL Remember them...

Hello Everyone - Wednesday already :)

Today is a day where we remember all the fallen - The heroes, The Animals, The Civilians,  The families left behind and The freedom they helped give to us - Wear your Poppy with pride :) Lest we Forget...
(Image taken from Google)

My card today uses a some fab fab papers from the Brand NEW Kimono paper pad that Fiona launched last night on Create and Craft, this is honestly one of the BEST Paper pads you'll buy this year - absolutely stunning!
You can find it in the Crafter's Companion Shop
The sentiment is from one of the stamp sets, I matted everything on black card and added a few embellies from my stash. The paper are all from the pad, the peacock I die cut and I used one of the beautiful glittery papers, I cut lots of the feathers up and layered them using 3d glue gel over the bottom of the peacock die. I loved how he ended up.

Turtle Tuesday...

Good Morning - Its Tuesday eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
I have a meeting a my Syds School tonight regarding work experience can you believe that?! OMGOSH How quickly does time pass?!
Looking forward to the info, not looking forward to the dark cold night eeeek

Todays card shares another Animal/Creature Image from Some Odd Girl
Can you tell I overdosed on these lol
This one is Sea Turtle
He reminds me of the little guy from Finding Nemo
When I was looking for sentiments on google, I came across this one and thought it was perfect for this little guy. I coloured him with Spectrum Noir Markers and mounted him to my card using 3d glue gel. I decided to make a background from some coredinations cardstock, I used the layer dies from the middle of the circle accordion die from Crafter's Companion to create the sun - I embossed the middle part with the petite dots folder - I used this on the road too. I snipped at the grass and added some Crystal Clear Sparkle Pen to the sun, the clouds are from Die'sire and my card base is Centura Pearl.
