Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday??? ULTRA LONG POST lol

Hiya Everyone, Another Post from me lol, its WOYWW again!!! Thankyou all for making me feel so Welcome last week, how cool was it to see everyones Workdesks and Spaces. I thought afterwards I should have given a better intro to my desk lol, I use large as my piccy settings I dont know how to get them any bigger though - YET. So I thought I would show a few more piccys of my desk this week, BUT its a MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESS!!!!!!!! so prob not the best time for a desk tour but hey ho lol :O) Lols said something to me at Ally about space and craft areas and it has really stuck with me, so although I will be tidying later I am not embrassed to show these as this is how it looks 90% of the time lol (although should I be??!)
This first piccy is the overall desk, The boxes on the top house ribbons and envelopes and finished cards,The red boxes home stuff I never ever use but cant part with grrrrr! there are two stamps up there which are soon to be Blog Candy :O) and my heat gun I swear I have spent more hours looking for that thing than I have using it!!! Can you see how small my area is the desk fits in between two of my sofas!!!
This is how I left it last night lol, not as bad as I thought But there was no way I was clearing up at past 12, headies still there, I updated my mp3 player with some new but old songs :O)
This piccy is whats to the right, my flowers, and cuttlebug and dies, I use the shelf to take me piccys of cards, the paint kettle is what I put my scraps in as I am crafting so I dont have to keep bending down to the bin
This next pic is to the left, Ikea solutions again, I had these in the bedroom and just transfered them out, so so handy! they house my essential essentials that I dont use everyday lol lol only a crafter could have a saying like that! Glitter Body Spray what a fab idea, lasts forever and really glistens up cardstock! smells ok too! The green box is home to my inkpads, I am slowly collecting the SU ones I so want one of them stands! Although I love the one I saw on Sues Blog last week I even showed hubby and said I want one of them! lol
This one is on the shelf, little caddy things I got from the diy store filled with glitter, pens, flowersoft, my dusting cloth bits and pieces really, oh the card you can see on the blue box my daughter made me love her!, my punches live in that box for the timebeing I hope to sort better storage for those, prob dinky shelves on the wall behind
These magazine boxes are a temp home for my smaller papers, kitchen roll why do I have to have this on my desk it is another essential, my desk is naked without it lol. The piccys you see on the wall are what my kiddies have done, I was so proud of the calendar my son did me bless him, more sizzix dies in the box, some new copics which I put here so I dont muddle them with the old ones
A close up of the back of my desk, some 12x12 papers, not all of what I own phew just a selection Another storage soloution I need to find, eeek ribbon messsssssss I am a sucker for ribbons, and a few coloured images
And Finally...
When I first started crafting I brought myself a bone folder, well after many years I have finally replaced it and boy did it need replacing, trouble is I cant bear to throw the other away eeeek! although it really is battered!
I salute you if you got to the bottom of this long post!!! Lol, and I hope to get around to you at some point today :O) Have a lovely day Thanks for stopping by.xxx

A very interesting post Joey, thanks for sharing. Wow, I use my dressing table as a workspace, so you're lucky. Even though it's small, it's a separate workspace!!! Will have to take some pics of mine too. Take care, hugs Sharon x

OMG Joey. I loved the peek into your craft area. I am organised with drawers for my craft stash but my desk is always, always in a shamble! Funnily enough, I can't create as well when I've cleaned my desk, so now I don't clean it. Thanks for sharing, it's great.

Thanks for the grand tour Joey :) Fully understand about the bone folder thing I'm the same! Even though it's only a small space you have lots of storage and I think my space may be smaller as I use a corner of the kitchen.

Wow, lots of great piccies of your stuff Joey. Great work area.
Usually if you an click on a pic in a posting it zooms in, but if you have moved a picture this facility sometimes disappears. I've found that if you want to move a picture and you cut and paste it in the edit mode the pictures will still enlarge!

Great WOYWW. Your space is busy, but it all fits in so well. Guess that means you only buy when you need. Seriously. !!!!!!!!!!

Hi Hun I love it it reminds me of my little cornor of mayhem. I love all the ideas you have shared with us. I saw a wicked thing on 60 min makeover today. It was a screen for a bedroom and I may get one to screen off my little corner in my bedroom. I am midway through a tidy so I may share mine this week xxx Hugs Pascale

Ha, a relative newcomer like me. And what a raft space - it's all going on and that is a compliment. I know I can be a bit too tidy sometimes - too much time on my hands?

I love the body glitter idea - I wonder how many of us use 'non-crafty' items in our papercrafting.

I use inexpensive packs of eye make-up sponge applicators for chalking (from Boots!)

I love a space that looks like it is being used!!! Maybe you could alter your bone folder somehow to incorporate it into another piece of art so you could keep it! LOL!

Angie said...

Thanks for the tour around your desk ....a lot of stuff to poke around in. I know what you mean about your bone folder ...I have a 'pointy Tool' the point is knarled and the rubber end disintergrated ...I replaced it with a different make but I cant throw the old one away 'cos I liked it better.

Debra said...

Thanks for the tour! I too have paper towels on my desk! I don't know that I could craft without them! Love the essentials essentials storage!

CathyC said...

Aren't all crafty supplies essential essentials? ;-)
thanks for visiting my workdesk

Yep, I read every word, Joey. Why wouldn't I after the lovely comment you left me. You have a very active desk. Seems like so much going on. You have some very clever storage solutions, too.

Have a happy rest of WOYWW.

Oh goodness do you have lots of good stuff "essential essentials" in such a small space! I do love my stamp pad holder and will try to get a better picture of it to post tonight...it holds like 140 stamps pads or some ridiculous amount. My papa got a little carried away LOL!
