Challenge Cards

(****Please scroll down for challenges****)

Hi Everyone, how cold is it today, me little nose is cold, me toes are cold, me legs ache from being cold brrrrr!!! I just cant seem to warm up. My daughter has lost her ds! yes lost, I have searched for it for forever, and hubby is pulling apart there bedroom as we speak, hes been in there for a couple of hours already, he said well it does need a good clean before christmas, yay another thing to scrub of me list! saying that it will no doubt need doing again before then lol. I just made a cuppa, and one of the kids said its ok dad you can have a break hehe, then you hear dont run through the rubbish pile, who me? yes you? with all the other wittys the kids have on today they are making me laugh I usually have me headies on to craft but had to listen to them instead. One of the challenges this week is to use a photo on your card, so I had a good plough through photos laughing at memories, I havent decided which one yet so havent done the card, but I do enjoy a good photo that tells a story, I found lots of my nan and grandads wedding, and some ones of my grandad I had forgotton about, they made me smile, I think I need to do another collage.Anyway on to the cards:-

Penny Black Challenge
This week the theme is to use "No Patterned Paper" this is easy if you make a card and then look at it and realise you havent used papers, but to set out making one without the papers in the begining was challenging! The dt cards are fabulous. http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ Heres mine:-
I used a hedgy stamp and coloured him with whispers pens, I added glamour dust to the snow. I cut it out with a nestie and used a bigger nestie for the aqua. I swiss dots the bottom of the card and attached some spotty ribbon to it. The letters are cut from sizzlitts, and the mosiac tiles, I brought some cheap mosiac glitter baubles, purely to use on my wrapping this year and I peeled them off and stuck em down!. I hope its ok.

Secret Crafter Challenge
This week there is a sketch to follow, I really like this sketch. http://thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com

As the card was quite bright I coloured the image lightly with watercolours. The letters are sizzlitt first steps. I added some brads, flowers and gems. The paper is basic grey I think from the two scoops pad. I inked over all the orange card with green to tone it down a little bit. I hope its ok.

Thanks for Looking, enjoy your weekend.x
