NEVER Grow Up...

Happy Monday
I am hoping this week is kinder than last

Today I have a cute card to share using a gorgeous image from Mo Manning
I love Peter Pan - and I love how it captures kiddies imagination
Wouldn't you love to go back to being a kiddie, no worries, no stresses, fun fun fun before technology took over!

I coloured him up with Spectrum noir markers and mounted him to my card using 3d glue gel. The embossing folder is from the Textures range from Crafter's Companion as are the dies - the ivy is one of my most used, as is the Kimono blossom branch, I also used Sheena's jungle leaves folder and covered it all in distress inks, for all things Crafter's Companion check out the shop

Backgrounds with refills...

YEP!
I know, who knew you could create backgrounds using your spectrum noir refills!
Well not me lol
That was until I saw a fab tutorial over on the Spectrum Noir blog from one of my lovely teamies
http://www.spectrumnoir.com/grid-background/
So easy and so clever, I actually had so much fun doing this!
So I placed a piece of sheena's white stampin card down, and picked up some refills, I then squirted colour onto my cardstock, and then once I'd had my fill with that, I squirted the colourless blender in places, which spreads the ink and kind of bleaches it too - total amazeballs - watching it looks like cauliflowers blooming or something nice like that! I then cut them down to squares to fit my card design, see super technical NOT!

A Close up - I'm a nerd but I find this so so cool!

Now for the mega annoying part - I can't find my colour list at all anywhere - GRRRRRRR
SO SO SORRY
This cracking image is from Mo Manning it reminds me of many people! some people who fill their cups with coffee, others tea and the sly (but clever) few who use vodka hehehehe

Have a good day
Until next time

One Today...

Well not quite!
It was my little nieces First Birthday back on Valentine's Day and this is the card I made for her :)
Using this gorgeous Mo Manning image
She has recently started walking and it is too cute - those first steps or should I say side steps in shoes lol - to to cute!
The papers and heart are from Sara's Love range - that heart is something else! I adore it and it is so useful for so many styles of cards. The folder is the grand dots embossing folder and I used some coredinations cardstock and some centura pearl.

Oh me Oh my...

I have not blogged in FOREVER!
I am so sorry, I have been slowly beavering away behind the scenes with some exciting NEW releases that I can show off to you soon and then trying to crack on with my own personal makes for Birthdays etc... I don't think I have stopped yet lol

But that means I have heaps to share if I can manage to type up some posts :)

It was my loverly hubbys Birthday last week and this was the card I made for him, using this super cute image from Mo Manning, Its also one of my design team cards for Spectrum Noir - I was heavily inspired by the Kalina's Shades of Grey Tutorial over on the Spectrum Noir Website
I do love the monotone look and was really pleased with the end result of this :)
I wanted to keep the card very simple. I used the disress textures embossing folder on white card and inked the edges with a little black ink. I cut a circle from a die and embossed it with the Grande dots folder from Crafter's Companion, I used a tiny little bit of silver gliding wax. The lettering are Die'sire 1 inch letters which you can find on the Crafter's Companion website.

Underwater Monday...

Hiya Monday again
The start of another BUSYYYYYYYYYYYYY week for me!
I'm actually hoping I achieve a lot :D fingers crossed

Today I have a card to share using a gorgeous Mo Manning image
I have also done a tutorial for the background of this image - keep an eye out on the Spectrum Noir blog for the tutorial - whilst you are there you will find HEAPS of fantastic tutorials from my teamies for you to try - they really are amazing!
Another card I wanted to keep pretty simple as there is so much colour in the image. I used one of the new Textures elements folders, I think waves and covered it in some distress ink and spray and sparkle - avaliable from Crafter's Companion, I then embossed a piece of black card and covered that in spray and sparkle. I used Black card as I wanted a real contrast.

Hiya Everyone

Oh my goodness, I've missed a good few days and a good few posts! so sorry - you know when things happen and you just find NO time to say Boo! lol - its been one of those kinda weeks - busy busy busy but feeling like you have achieved nothing lol

My hand is still mis -  behaving - I am still waiting for appointments to come through and I'm even begining to doubt myself over it now - wish it would sort itself out, my Niall told me the other morning, Mum you are clumsy! well thanks son! lol - I dropped item upon item that morning, felt a bit of an idiot but hey ho - on the plus side - my hand absolutely kills when I have to iron - I find it such a struggle - *enters Mart* lol - not his best chore but the kids do need clean ironed uniforms!

Anyways...
I don't know which post to catch up with first! lol
So I'll start with my Mo Manning Monday post but on a Tuesday
(In my head that sounds like the lego movie hahaha)

I mentioned about re-connecting with my Brother :) which makes my heart happy - well it was his Son's Birthday 29th Dec, and I am just getting around to showing you this card :)
I love being an Aunty - so hopefully his kiddies will one day view me as Aunty Jo - Cos I loves them to bits already!
I used papers from my stash, they are all pretty much loose now and I have a box full, so I kinda just rummage and pull out what matches - so I couldn't tell you where they are from, the letters are from Die'sire and avaliable from Crafter's Companion, I pierced the edging and used a little white gel pen for detail.

Mo Manning Monday...

Monday again...already
I'm waiting for the day the government add an extra day into the weekend! boy do I need one

I had a fab time seeing my Brother and his family on Saturday - his new little baby is absolutely beautiful - I made sure to get lots of snuggles. We grew up in different households so we are finally connecting as adults and I am so grateful to have him as a part of my life. He also has 8 children and 2 grandchildren so I'm even more happier - next to being a Mum being an Aunty is my most treasured thing - So as you can imagine I am totally over the moon!!! His Grandchildren are the most adorable twin girls and they turn 1 today, Happy Birthday Lillie and Poppie
X X X

So todays cards are what I made for them using gorgeous images from Mo Manning

I made two identical easel cards one for each of the girlies. I used A3 patterned card from Crafter's Companion and made my easel base using my Ultimate Pro. The number 1, lettering and swirls are from Die'sire and the heart, oval and fancy shape are spellbinder dies.

Mo Manning Monday...

Morning Morning and its Monday
*SIGH*
The usual routine swings back into play, no more lazy layin's - no more relaxing around in Pj's all day - no more excuses to pig out on all the naughties because its the holidays - ack -
Makes this Monday seem much worse than all the others! lol

Today is my Youngest Brother's Birthday (our 2nd of the year)
Happy Birthday Kelsey - Love you millions
X X X

Today I have card to share using a fantastic image from Mo Manning
As you know Mo's images are amongst my faves! it was Mo Manning's images that made me buy a printer and get my digital addiction started!
I don't know whether to Thank her - or direct my hubby and bank manager to her hahahaha
It is however my healthiest addiction and happiest :D
So I coloured this dude with my specs, and mounted him to my card base using 3d glue gel. The oval and funny shape behind it are nesties and the papers were loose in my draw of like a million loose papers - so I'm so sorry I cannot tell you 100% where they are from - they are not new designs anyway - another promise to myself - use up what I have - so paper wise this should take a while but be easy enough - HA! I'll try. The sentiment is from Digi Stamp Boutique.

Spectrum Noir Challenge...

Hiya Everyone, Hope you are all well
I have had one BUSY weekend!
Friday night I was out with some Mums from school and it was a late one - I did have the best steak I've ever had in my life in the restuarant we went to. Then Saturday feeling slightly ok massively hungover I went to the X Factor - it was so cool :)
I think Louisa will win but my heart is with Reggie and Bollie
Then my Ella Bella caught Chickepox - ARGH
So we are staying in at the moment so she stays isolated from spreading it! Bless her.

Today I have my Challenge make for the Spectrum Noir DT
This Month our theme is
Clean and Simple
Do check out my teamies Blogs to see their amazing work
I used this FAB image from From the Heart Stamps - isn't he adorable! He is called Hamlet :) The sentiment is from an image at Mo Manning stamps. I used the cupcake embossing folder from the Sugar and Spice collection from Crafter's Companion and my matting was some grey coredinations cardstock.

Hello Monday...

Good Morning All
I am actually looking forward to this week!

We welcome December tomorrow and it promises (fingers crossed) to be a great month of preparing and fun leading up to Christmas
I STILL have not done nearly enough for anything I need, so I may end up buying a box of cards
SHOCK HORROR
Scrub that I may just give none instead - eeeeeeeeeeeek

Anyway's...
I was asked for a New Baby Card
and there was only one card design for it and one image

I used Sandra's Bow card template and papers from Sara's Floral Delights range - you will find it over in the Crafter's Companion Shop :) along with the dies - which are from the Downton Abbey range and the Die'sire Leaf Swirl set. All sentiments I printed from the comp, I used a little acetate to pop it up from the card. I used Spec Noir Markers on this sweetie, all embellies from my stash.

Black Glitter...On a New Baby Card...

Well when my design called for black glitter I was absolutely mortified!
BLACK GLITTER + NEW BABY
They most deffo shouldn't be anywhere near each other - except this is no ordinary New Baby card - My brief was A New Baby Boy , A Bow Card and Basketball
YUP
That was it - so my mind ran away with me - eeeeek
Here is what I came up with
and do you know what I was so giddy - I absolutely LOVED making this card and was chuffed to nuts with the finished result! The man who is giving it was chuffed to bits with it too - he is taking it back to his home country this weekend so I hope they really like it too.

I used this super duper cute image from Mo Manning and coloured it up with Spectrum Noir markers, I mounted him onto the bow card with 3d glue gel, the orange cardstock is coredinations which I used the small dots embossing folder from embossilious, the blue dotty paper is from Saras's range over at Crafter's Companion :) Love those ranges, the sentiment and name computer generated, and the ball and net are diecuts, the little net I made a strip of card and added netting to, then curved it to stick onto the card. The bow template is of course from Sandra.

Tired Tuesday...

Oh my gosh Tuesday
I wish it was nice to see you but I am feeling shattered today - hubby said "love are you getting up?" I said "No - not today!" hahaha - When he says that I know I need to jump up else I'll fall right back off to sleep and be late for the kiddies - so up I jumped - ugh lol

Lots and lots to do today so I am trying or going to do my best to ignore the interweb! TRY

I have another meeting tonight at Syds school this time about revision - LOL - I don't think Syds wants me to go deep down and learn about the most effective way to revise as she knows I'll be on her case then LOL

Syds needed a card for her friend at school, I coloured up 3 different images and she picked this one :) I hope her little friend likes it, I say little she'll be 15 - I have been trying clean and simple (AGAIN) I struggle with it so much but practise lol
This image is from Mo Manning love it!
I coloured her up with spec noir markers and mounted her using 3d glue gel - I pierced the edges using a ruler - not sure where I go wrong considering I use a hard plastic ruler but I can't work straight with those things! A little coredinations and the letters are from Die'sire 1 inch Contempoary Alphabet.
