Bite Advice Please and Some News

Hiya Everyone, Hope you all doing ok. Its a gorgeous day here!

Thanks for your kind words yesterday, Hubby took the girls to my sil for a bbq and I stayed here with Niall, thankfully they all seem to be in a better mood today, I was so drained I slept for 12 hours last night, I usually cope so I was angry with myself I let it get on top of me, I guess I am only human.

I am just waiting for NHS to ring me back, those bites on my leg are like nothing I have ever seen, they are huge I would guess maybe 3cm round, blotchy, and swollen, I have 5 around my knee, one is right on the bend and driving me insane, and another 2 on my inside thigh, they seem to have gone like a grey purpley colour, I dont want to go to A&E but I am getting a little concerned now as they hurt and the colour is rotten, my leg feels tight too, but dont know if thats because there are so many so close to each other :( I have visions of some sort of blood posioning and infection, etc etc if I dont treat it in time, it might just have been a nasty bug that bit me that I havent experienced before, if anyone has any advice I would be grateful.

***UPDATED***
I have spoken to NHS and been to see the Chemist Man, they think it could be an allergic reaction to the bite and that its not pussing so it should be ok, and I am treating it with cream and tabs now, fingers crossed it starts to come down now, Several of you have said I might need anti'b's I am still unsure and willing to give these tabs and cream a go first, I dont usually blog things like this, but there is always someone out there in my bloggy friends who "knows" so it was worth it for that alone, sorry if you dissaprove x

Todays card uses a gorgeous Mayzyart Image I love these!
This girlie fits me just now, feeling sorry for meself and still shaking off the last of this cold. I coloured her with markers, the papers from me stash, and the sentiment is SU.
I was trying to experiment around her eyes to give her the sick look, I know I added purple but not sure on the rest of the colours, I like how it looked though

On to my News

Hey Joey.
They look very similar to 4 I had on my arm (they are still there). Started off small and got bigger, very red (angry) with a white/yellow'ish ring on the outside, they were raised too and really, really painful. Take a look at this post http://danishstamper.blogspot.co.uk/search?updated-max=2012-07-27T14:00:00%2B01:00&max-results=10

My "bites" are just red spots now, skin is peeling but I still get tiny new spots on the outside of the Big spots and they are painful. My GP thought it was Erythema Multiform but she's still not sure what is is as there is no sting mark. Have had them for 4 weeks now. Sorry I am rambling

Hugs, Mette

I agrre with Vicky, the best thing thing to do is go to A&E, they will probably be able to help you rather than waiting to see your GP. Hope they are better soon.

Gorgeous card, she looks as sick as you must feel. Marlene

Glad you got the bites sorted, I hope the cream works, looks nasty.

Hi Joey, your card is so appropriate... hope you get well soon! Your bites look so much like the way I reacted to mosquito bites when I first came to Australia.. I don't react like that now (thank goodness) but one of my sons still gets a reaction... and he was born here! Antihistamines will take the edge off, and we dab them with vinegar or methylated spirits - or good ol' calamine :--) Keeping them cool helps too. I know how maddening they can be... we got sandfly bites in New Zealand that were TINY and had me sobbing! Keep your chin up, Donna xx

They look like they could be bites from a spider. I couldn't tell you what kind of spider but you may want to have an exterminator come to your home. Also when outside in woodsy or tall grass areas wear a good insect repellent.
