Just Magnolia - Animals or Insects

Hiya everybody :O) cor this week is whizzing by Again! My nose is ever so sore its getting difficult to blow it now, I am so going to look a nightmare in the piccys on sat, not that sat is about me but I want one with me little woman lol. Its school piccys day today hopefully my two remember to smile for their pics, some of the ones that come home do make me laugh :O) I am really looking forward to the weekend, I have 2 days to knock this bug on the head lol, go to collect Scoopy on friday :O) then to meet Pascale for a coffee :O) yay so exciting!

I have made a card for the Just Magnolia challenge, this week the theme is "Animals or Insects"I used this gorgeous Edwin, and coloured him with promarkers and copic ciaos. I mounted him on the sizzix oval and then onto the panel. Th sentiment is Hero Arts, and I added some little magnolia butterflies and gems. For the butterfly at the top I stamped two and cut them out and stuck them together so you see colour on all sides. I think the paper is Dcwv thats a big I think!. I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder on my card blank and on the oval.I love the effect of sponging but dont do nowhere near enough of it! I use any old sponge this one was a new scrubbing one lol, cut into chunks, the last one was hubbies sanding block haha. I just keep going and going until I am happy with the coverage, The two blue inkpads I used are chalk inks and I love the way those blend, must get some more of those inkpads. How I emboss my cardblankI have also been asked alot how I emboss the cardstock I use, I am sure there is probably an easier way than how I do it, but I cut the cardblank to envelope size, then take the front flap of the card and wrap the embossing folder around it, I emboss then cut the excess strip off, as the folders are smaller than the blank, I always try to hide the embossed lines with ribbon or papers. On the card I made I put the folder positioned near the middle and edged the section with ribbons and paper.

Well I must be off, I have 4 birthdays from fri-sun and one communion and no cards made! eeeeek
Thanks for stopping by and Looking. Have a fabby day.x
