The Sugar Bowl - #10 Sketch by Marlene

Hi everybody hope all is well :O) I found I had some spare time today well I should be doing housework but oh well it will keep so I am happily crafting my way through the day :O)

My sons speech therapy appt was not what we expected or was told, it seems he is being passed around the houses with no structured sessions on his speech, I understand fully the way it all works etc... but I am peeved to say the least as he has had many assessments to determine the issues we feel its time they were addressed, my hubby told them as much too I was so embrassed but sometimes things do have to be said and said very bluntly to the point. Hopefully something else will be put in motion now, bless my son is so restricted and just needs that help.

No kitty piccy today dont all shout at me though lol. I seem to have formed a huge attachment to mini-max(ine) I had no intentions of as she is going off to a new home, but but I LOVE HER, I walk in the room and I say to the kittys is anyone awake??? she crawls over the others and comes to the edge of the box, into my hand and we have cuddles if you thought I was mad you aint seen nothing for when these kittys come into it lol.I promised myself I would try and break the bond and not touch her today, but I craft where they are in the box and she was there meow at me whats a girl to do lol. oooooh I forsee many many tears.

Cor blimey I think I have taken my talk for england pill this morning onto the card!

Its for The Sugarbowl Challenge this week there is a fabulous sketch from Marlene, thanks Marlene :O)

On the last challenge they announced the challenge would be changing, I am so thrilled with the change it has become a sketch challenge which I love sketches, with the inclusion of a set item each time, this week the you have to include buttons - something I use hardly ever!

I positioned my image a little low so added a sentiment hope thats ok (same sentiment as yesterday too lol)

I used a Gorjuss Girl and coloured her with promarkers and copic ciaos. The patterned paper is K&Co. I found some buttons in my stash and the flower is a combo of different ones and I punched some leaves to add to it, I threaded through the buttons with jute and used a bit around the flower. I added a few pearls and some ribbon.

Thanks for Stopping by and Looking.xxx

Joey, this is one cute card. Your colours are lovely. Good luck in the challenge.

Keep on at them about the speech therapy for you son. My son Harry has speech therapy sessions, it was picked up by the health visitor when he was little. The primary school he went to were brilliant and his high school have brought him on so much. He is now of his IEP's and is now taking his options. Sorry for long comment.

As for your son, sometimes, unfortunately, you have to speak up for him !! Dreadful tho ! He shouldn't be passed around like that poor kid :-/

Hi Joey

What a beautiful card. So much detail that all blends together beautifully.

I hope you manage to get things sorted for your son. I afraid at the moment it is the people who make the most noise that get sorted first - which is what we found with my MIL when she was seriously ill last year.

We had to fight for everything for her and make things happen. When it isn't really in your nature to "kick up a fuss" it can be hard.

Keep your chin up!

Love Jules xx

Hi Joey! Oh I love this card, just fabulous colours and gorjuss girl. It's all so pretty, and with a great sentiment! Ahh, I think you're right about the tears when kitty goes off to her new home, I fear you have both bonded strongly, ouch! It's so hard to let go, I know when my cat had kittens a few years ago I ended up keeping 2! Sadly, none of them are with us now :(
