High Hopes Challenge - Sponging

Hi Everybody, Hope you are all well, its sooooo cold here again! and is raining which kinda suits the feel of my card today WET! lol. Not much happening, I have all me chores done yippee, the day to myself yippee, and I must get organised for the kids pancakes this evening, I am a traditional girl, lemon and sugar all the way, hubby has ugh just thinking of it, syrup and butter eeeeeek, my daughter will have whatever she can lay her hands on, but after the trip to the dentist theres not a chance! and my son doesnt really do pancakes what joy it will all be lol

This week the challenge over on the High Hopes Blog is "Sponging", well I lurve this technique if its called that, had no sponges in the house, typical, so cut up one of hubbies sanding blocks that has the sponge in the middle, and used that, oh I must remember to hide the evidence! :O)

How much fun is this, I was covered in ink, although for the amount I used I dont know why, teeney, tiny splodges, but finger prints all over me card, hence the panels behind the image, and the blue swiss dots bit at the bottom :O)

I used promarkers to colour the image, and added some ribbon, pebbles and a saftey pin as embellies. I used 4 diff ink pads to sponge the colour on to the white cardstock I had run through the tiny bubbles embossing folder. Postie only brought me this image this morning lol so so cute, a family friend has just had a baby boy so this card is perfect to send

So me thinks I am gonna have to buy some sponges, off to have a look at all the other entries as it will be nice to see how everyone has used the sponging on their cards.

Have a fabby dabby day, Thanks for stopping by and Looking.xxx

This is fantastic and I love the sponging. Personally I would have used my hubby's shower sponge, washed it and hidden the evidence ! The image is gorgeous and your colouring is great.
